โครงสร้างพื้นฐานของประโยค

          ในสังคมโลกปัจจุบัน คงไม่อาจปฏิเสธได้ว่าภาษาอังกฤษเป็นภาษาสากลของโลกที่ใช้กันอย่างแพร่หลาย  และเข้ามามีบทบาทสำคัญในวิถีชีวิตของผู้คนจำนวนไม่น้อย จากอิทธิพลของความก้าวไกลทางด้านเทคโนโลยีและการสื่อสาร  ส่งผลให้ภาษาอังกฤษยิ่งทวีความสำคัญมากยิ่งขึ้น เพราะถือเป็นเครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการติดต่อสื่อสาร การศึกษาค้นคว้าแสวงหาความรู้จากแหล่งเรียนรู้ที่หลากหลาย รวมถึงการประกอบอาชีพ หลักสูตรการศึกษาระดับขั้นการศึกษาพื้นฐาน ไม่ได้มองข้ามความสำคัญและความจำเป็นของภาษาอังกฤษ  มีการกำหนดให้ภาษาอังกฤษเป็นภาษาต่างประเทศที่เป็นสาระการเรียนรู้พื้นฐานซึ่งนักเรียนทุกคนต้องได้เรียนรู้  เพื่อให้มีความรู้ความสามารถในการฟัง พูด อ่าน เขียน เข้าใจความแตกต่างของภาษา การคิด สังคม เศรษฐกิจ การเมือง การปกครอง และวัฒนธรรม ขนบธรรมเนียมประเพณี และสามารถสื่อสารกับชาวชาติได้ รวมทั้งช่วยให้ผู้เรียนเข้าถึงองค์ความรู้ต่าง ๆ ทั้งในห้องเรียนและนอกห้องเรียนได้ง่ายและกว้างขึ้น โดยเฉพาะการเรียนการสอนภาษาอังกฤษ ในหลักการเรียนรู้การแปล

          ประโยคต่างๆ มาจากประโยคพื้นฐานที่เรียกว่า basic sentence ซึ่งเป็นประโยคที่ประกอบด้วยประโยคลุ่นๆ มีคำน้อย ใช้คำแต่เฉพาะที่จำเป็นในแต่ละแบบ ในการแปลประโยคที่ซับซ้อนถ้าแยกเป็นหน่วยวิเคราะห์ประโยคก็จะทำให้ง่ายขึ้น ประโยคสามารถกระจายเป็นรูปร่างหรือโครงสร้างพื้นฐานที่ได้ โดยมี

          ในการสื่อสารต่าง ๆ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นภาษาอังกฤษ หรือภาษาไทย การรู้จักโครงสร้างประโยคจะช่วยให้สามารถพูด หรือเขียนได้ง่ายมากขึ้น นักจิตวิทยาทางภาษาศาสตร์ได้ค้นคว้าและสรุปออกมาว่าคนที่รู้มากกว่าหนึ่งภาษามีโอกาสได้พัฒนามันสมองในส่วนที่เกี่ยวข้องกับภาษาได้มากกว่าคนที่พูดอยู่ภาษาเดียวและคนที่พูดได้ภาษามีโอกาสหารายได้ได้เร็วกว่าและมากกว่าคนที่พูดได้ภาษาเดียวคือภาษาแม่ การเรียนรู้โครงสร้างประโยคภาษาอังกฤษ เพื่อเป็นพื้นฐานการแต่งประโยคภาษาอังกฤษได้ดีมากขึ้น เพราะเมื่อเรารู้โครงสร้างแล้ว ก็สามารถแต่งประโยคได้อย่างถูกต้องและง่ายมากขึ้นอีกด้วย
